I’ve contacted La Galette to let them know a bunch of crazy knitters are coming, I’ve ordered cooler weather…now all we need is you and your knitting! Grab a friend and join us!
August Brunch & Secret Sock Exchange! In place of our regularly-scheduled guild meeting, we will be gathering for bruch at La Galette (click here for directions) to enjoy fresh pastries, knitting and most importantly to exchange our socks for the Secret Sock Knit-A-Long! All knitters are welcome, so grab your purse, knitting and a friend and come join us for a bit of fun and relaxation! Mark your calendar for this Saturday, Aug. 11th from 10 to 11:30am. This is a great time to find out more about the guild! And did I mention that there will be special gifts for everyone? Yes, gifts!
If you have socks to exchange, but can’t make it…feel free to contact Kim or another guild member to make arrangements to take them for you or you can make arrangements individually with your sock buddy. Kim will post everyone’s buddy to the blog & Ravelry pages on August 11th after the brunch.

WSU Yarn Bombing! We are SUPER excited to a part of this awesome art installation in honor of the Ulrich Museum’s grand re-opening! If you have never been a part of an official art installation, here is your chance. And, they are even filming the entire project and will have dvd’s available. Pretty cool! We need lots of help! Click here for full details. CKKG has signed up to cover 6 statues (mostly smaller busts) along with completing granny squares and long color strips for larger projects. Photos and details are posted below & are on Ravelry! The event will take place September 15th! Let’s show the community and college students what knitters really think about!
