Good morning everyone! Having been out of town the past week, it was wonderful to return to cooler weather. Fall is my favorite season of the year, so I hope we have a nice, extended one! I apologize for sending this out a week late.
Secret Sock Knit-A-Long Update:
It was wonderful seeing all of the knitters (including several guests) turnout for brunch last weekend! We filled the backroom of La Galette with cheerful chatter and lots of laughter for our brunch. Of course, La Galette did not disappoint with all of their fabulous pastries and quiches. Yum!
Here are a few photos from the exchange (sorry, I always get so excited that I forget to take photos – including the socks I got!):
It was so exciting to see all of the socks and find out who was partnered up (I think the look on Gail’s face sums it up nicely)! Of course many of our members were unable to make it to the August brunch, so we plan to do the final exchange at our September 11th meeting (mark your calendars for an exciting meeting)! *If you received your socks, please bring them to the meeting so that we can get a group photo (or send us a photo if you can’t make it).
September CKKG Meeting: mark your calendars for the 2nd Tuesday from 6pm-8:30pm at the Harvey County Courthouse. The agenda is going to be packed. (an agenda will be posted later this week)
Yarn Bombing: Don’t forget to check out our Ravelry page for the latest details! All items must be knit by 9/13, so don’t delay! This is your chance to take part in an official art installation on the WSU campus (celebrating the grand re-opening of the Ulrich Art Museum)!
Happy knitting,
Kim
