For the educational program on afterthought heels, bring sock yarn, needles for gauge, scrap yarn and a yarn needle.

For the educational program on darning and reinforcing, bring hand-knit socks in of repair or reinforcement, yarn of the same weight as the socks, a yarn needle and double points that will match the sock gauge (this is optional – I’ll show the technique for this and if you want to practice, you’ll need the double points).

Also – it’s time to start collecting purple hats, so bring any that you have finished in!

CKKG Sept2015 Agenda

We had a great time at our August meeting.  Marnette taught us about dyeing fibers with plants, what different mordants will do to colors and gave us some great resources for growing our own dye plants.

We also had some great finished items shared with us.

We also heard about the 2nd Annual Knitting on the Prairie retreat on October 31 and November 1 at the Flying W Ranch near Florence.  Space is limited so if you want to attend the retreat (cost is $95 for members, $100 for non-members) RSVP as soon as possible.  We’ll have Paypal set up soon to pay for the retreat, so you can pay by check – see any board member for more information.
